Venue: Cape Henlopen High School Auditorium

Description: “Aida” is one of the many shows I worked on while employed for the Cape Henlopen School District. I designed this show to match the music, which is incredibly colorful and upbeat. While scenically the show takes place mostly in Ancient Egypt, I wanted to create a set that embraced the Egyptian setting, while also putting a modern spin on it. I constructed three moving platforms that created a runway, fabric columns that were flown in and out, and 3 pyramids that could be flown in and out, and that also served as projection surfaces. I also built 3 Egyptian themed displays that were brought in for the museum scenes.
